The outstanding achievements of nearly two-decades of activity carried out by the Nagenahiru Foundation have been appreciated by several national and international institutions.

One World Award

Mr. Lal Emmanuel (President of the Nagenahiru Foundation) and the Nagenahiru Foundation were chosen for the One World Award for Sustainable Development Organized by the International Federation for Organic Agriculture Movement with Rapunzal – Germany

Lal Emmanuel received the prize from Renate Kunast. Former Minster of Agriculture – Germany.

SEED Award

The Nagenahiru Foundation became the Silver Award winner in the SEED Awards 2009 organized by the SEED initiative. SEED Initiative supports entrepreneurs for sustainable development and the awards are dedicated for innovations in the field of renewable energy.

Green Jobs Award

Nagenahiru Foundation received the Green Jobs Award offered by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Sri Lanka for its dedicated work in Environment Education and Awareness Creation. The award was received under the institutional sector at an event organized to mark the World Environment Day on 5th June 2009.

National Green Job Award Environment Education was presented to Nagenahiru Foundation by Hon. Minister of Agriculture Maythreepala Sirisena. Hon. Minister of Environment & Natural Resource Patalee Champika Ranawaka also present.

Eco Water Award

Nagenahiru Foundation was selected for the International Eco Water Award in 2012 organized by the South Korean Federation for Environment in South Korea.
